This time, we’re thrilled to introduce Serena Cervellera, the inspiring co-founder behind Le Signorine — a project born from passion, creativity, and a love for authentic craftsmanship. From a small boutique on the island of Salina to an online presence that celebrates originality and Made in Italy artistry, Serena’s journey is a story of intuition, resilience, and style. In this conversation, you’ll discover what sparked the idea, how she turned her vision into a thriving business, and why staying true to her values has been the key to her success.

Q: How did it all begin & what was that aha moment when you decided to start your business/brand?

A: In 2013, my sister and I decided to open our own boutique on the island of Salina, and later we expanded by launching our online store as well.

Q: What are the core values of your brand, and how do you express them through your collections and growth process?

A: Research, appreciation of craftsmanship and Made in Italy brands, originality, and quality.

Q: What was your background before you start?

A: I graduated in Communication and Marketing and began my career in the tourism industry before broadening my horizons to embrace the world of fashion.

Q: Where do you find inspiration for your collections?

A: From travel and social media.

Q: What has been the most significant milestone in your brand’s journey so far?

A: The challenge of launching our online shop during the Covid period.

Q:What’s the most important lesson you’ve learned while growing your business?

A: Always act with integrity, never compromise your values, stay true to your ideas, and avoid copying others—everything starts to look the same that way. It’s essential to stand out and stay unique!

Q: What’s the best advice you’ve ever received?

A: To keep exploring and searching for new ideas without conforming.

Q: What do you do when you don’t know the answer to a question or face something new?

A: I try to figure out the right answer based on my own reasoning and instincts.

Q: What’s the first thing you do when you start your day?

A: I check the emails from my online shop.

Q: Launching a brand means juggling many different responsibilities. What are the three key habits that help you stay organized?

A: Having a clear method, not wasting time, and getting things done immediately without getting distracted by unnecessary details.

Q: What would you like to achieve for your brand in the next 12 months?

A:I ’d love to be featured in one of my favorite magazines.

Q: What advice would you give to brand owners who want to follow a similar path? Where should they start, and what should they know?

A: Take the leap and believe wholeheartedly in what you love.
